The Colchester 10k takes place over a flat, fast, scenic and accurately measured course along roads and footpaths in Colchester, and is great for posting fast times either for a personal best or as part of a Club Championship.
Starting just outside the Garrison Running track the race is run around a circular route finishing with a final sprint around the oval towards the finishing line in front of the Pegasus Pavillion and the amassed spectators.
The course was officially measured in March 2017 with a few small amendments to the route to aid the running flow (see below)

Fully marshalled, with km markers and water stations only a small portion of the route is run along the road, with the remainder along footpaths.
